ViSSEVASSE is a design and paper studio. We create graphic design products that tell a visual story.
We set out designing posters in 2013. Posters can be decorative, tell a story, make us smile and set the mood in a room. Sometimes it can take a long time to decide what to put up on the wall. Sometimes you just know, instantly. Since we set out, our passion for graphic design has only grown, and so has our product range.
At ViSSEVASSE we design visual stories. With no beginning and no end. It is up to the individual to attach feelings, thoughts and memories to our images. We have a soft spot for iconic buildings, moods and experiences, but we can find inspiration in anything from a song to a feeling. Our style is Nordic and minimalist combined with delicate pastels, poetry, nostalgia and food for thought.
The brand was created by Dorthe Mathiesen and Karsten Noel Poulsen, who have more than 20 years’ experience as creative professionals. The two are a couple and the parents of three girls and also share a passion for graphic design and aesthetics.
As ViSSEVASSE’s designer, Dorthe personally creates the products from start to finish. In addition to the research phase, it can take several days to draw the individual layers of each image. While Dorthe is entirely focused on the graphic design, Karsten deals with sales, budgeting and day-to-day operations. He is outgoing, has an easy smile and always has a joke ready, whether he is speaking with colleagues or clients.
We are driven by a passion for creating graphic products, all based on paper. Over the years, ViSSEVASSE has developed from a poster design firm to one of Denmark’s best-known paper brands. Today we create posters for your walls, games for recreation and family time, greeting cards for holidays and personal red-letter days, Christmas tree ornaments and notebooks and notepads for plans and check lists.
We put a high priority on making it easy for our retailers to sell our products. To that end we have designed a wide range of visual displays and shop-in-shop solutions that can be modified to fit the needs of the individual shop. We are happy to help you set up the display and put together your product selection.

ViSSEVASSE takes pride in protecting the environment and is honoured to be an FSC-certified company (SCS-COC-005763-BS). Our posters and cards are printed on Swedish FSC-certified paper in Denmark. We use paper with a thin coating that helps bring out the image. The matt surface makes the paper non-reflecting and ensures that the colours are beautifully reproduced in soft, rich tones. Our posters can be combined with one of our own frames with 2-millimetre non-reflecting acrylic that prevents reflections from lamps and windows.

We keep adding new posters and products to our product line. Some products are seasonal, while others are current all year round, but they all tell a story that you can add new chapters to. ViSSEVASSE is very successful in Denmark and is also seeing growing demand from abroad.
